Dear Fred
Is it wrong of me as a Christian to often times WANT to die? I get very discouraged at times with this life and the pain and sinfulness of the world, I sometimes ask the Lord to just take me HOME already!

I certainly believe that there was a reason for your being born and it wasn't just to die. You were given distinct and unique talent which I believe you are to use until your days are up. We are told to occupy until He comes, not until we are ready to go. I don't want to be mean, but it strikes me that you are really being irresponsible and selfish. Christ's death is the solution for sin, not yours.
