How do you keep yourself encouraged and sustain hope, while everything decent in our culture is crumbling, the church is passive and absorbed in self-interest, islamofasicists are threatening to anhihilate everyone, and pharmaceutical giants and the food industry are destroying our health?

I would be interested in the research you have done to bring you to these conclusions. My encouragement comes from the positive people in my life. We are having good reactions from the website and the Saturday morning group is the high-point for my week. I believe there is a formula that is used by AA that says change the things you can change, accept the things you cannot change. I find this a helpful thing to believe. I agree that our culture seems to be going in the wrong direction but there is still enough good that more people want to come then wants to leave.
