Dear Fred

Do you believe that the Jews are still God's chosen people? Is God still a covenant-keeping God?

Fred's Response

God is the same yesterday, today and forever. His covenants, like His commandments, are permanent. There is no "shadow of turning" with Him. Perfection cannot contain any imperfection. From childhood I have been taught that the Jews are a special race to God. I have told my Jewish friends that they have nothing to fear from orthodox Christians. They and I as part of all mankind crucified Christ. He died as a sacrifice, not a martyr. I do not believe, though, that we have to be their national champion in all matters.
