Category: Presentation The accomplished speaker must master the ability to think of at least three things simultaneously. First, what he is saying; the reaction of the audience to what he is saying; and the reaction of the audience to what he is saying. Being able to think about the next thing gives a smooth transition. Otherwise, the speech will be jerky without a continuous flow which helps the audience to concentrate.
