"I am certainly grateful that God continues to find me useful." What a wonderful summary of Fred's life right now. In the last three weeks he has spoken to a group of business people at the monthly "Breakfast With Fred," engaged dozens during the Saturday morning conversational open houses, attended a breakfast for Dallas Christian leaders that has been active for over 30 years, spoken to a women's community group at Northwest Bible Church, taught Zig Ziglar's Sunday School class and participated in a conference call for young leaders. I would say that he is truly useful! And, of course, that doesn't include dialysis 3 times a week and physical therapy on his off days. He will probably win in a Daytimer Duel if you challenge him!
Specific requests:
1) Ability to eat more food - his albumin level is down.
2) Thanksgiving for Ofie and Priscilla who give such faithful support.
3) Continued success of the dialysis catheter. It has been functional for over a year.
4) Thanksgiving for friends who keep Fred "in the loop."
You truly need to see Fred zooming (4 mph) down the street in his candy apple red power chair. His joy stick maneuvers would make you think that he grew up in the video game generation.
We have come a long way together, haven't we? You have prayed, written, visited and supported throughout this journey. What a blessing you are. May you know the comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ and the outpouring of His magnificent love.
