HEALTH UPDATE ON FRED

"How can this be the same man that was lying in the bed on Good Friday, 2004?"  His friend, Cork, came for a good long visit and kept commenting on Fred's strong voice, active mind and color.  He was one of the friends who arrived at St. Paul Hospital hoping that he would have time for a "goodbye."  We will never truly understand the whats and whys, but we will forever be grateful.

Friday, June 17th will be another Breakfast With Fred, hosted by Roaring Lambs at the Prestonwood Country Club in Dallas.  His topic this month will be Decision Making.  Each month he meets with a group of men and women who are interested in Fred's wisdom - and love his wit.  If you are in the Dallas area, please join the group.

Specific prayer requests:

1) Dialysis is getting more difficult.  The blood pressure drops regularly and vomiting occurs.

2) Fred and Ron Glosser are working on a CD that will share favorite hymns in word and song.  They want to complete this project by mid-summer.

3) Several young men have indicated a desire to visit Dad and discuss leadership issues.  They will be traveling cross-country to have this time.  Pray for Fred's strength for this time.

4) Daughter Brenda is taking a few days off.  Pray for a seamless caregiving operation during her absence.

2 Corinthians 1:11 says, " You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayer of many."  John Piper comments on this verse by saying, "When people are involved in each other's lives, more thanksgiving rises to God when any of them is blessed."

We will never ceasing thanking God for you, your life and your prayer support.  We are one in Jesus and we are joined in a mighty chorus of thanksgiving and praise.

A quick preview note:  Fred will be 90 on September 1.  To honor him we will be hosting an open house in Dallas all day September 3rd, beginning at 10:30.  If you are "in the neighborhood" please come by.  To RSVP send an email to the website via "contact us."
