Fred is now an official nonagenarian! He is 90 years old. But there is nothing "non" about him.
Yesterday he sat with friend and sportscaster Norm Hitzges watching football ---- with the sound off, of course. They were the play by play. A rare experience. Dad happily shared his onion rings with Norm and they compared notes on the play by play. Though 30 years his junior Norm's "little boy" and Fred's came out to play and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
On Friday he will do his monthly breakfast for the Roaring Lambs at Prestonwood Country Club. Next weekend he travels to Houston for the Guideposts (Norman Vincent Peale Center) meeting. This will be his 10th time with this group and he is expecting great things. Of course, he will be finish off the weekend by speaking to friend Jack Modesett's Sunday School class.
You all have been here when there were just hours to go. These must have been measured in God time because it is looking like hours were really years!
Today Fred is changing to a new dialysis center which is closer to home with a much better schedule. He wants to be a blessing to this new staff. Something tells me that prayer will be answered quickly, don't you think?
Thank you for praying. Thank you for emailing. Thank you for encouraging Fred by showing him that the Lord is using him. We are the family of God and He is being glorified. May the Lord grant you wisdom, insight and joy. May He walk with you on the way and teach you of Himself. May Jesus Christ Be Praised.
