It is Christmas morning, Fred is snoring, mass at St. Peter's Basilica is replaying on his television. The picture is reminiscent of the tales of a white-haired old man who works all night and falls asleep while others are awakening. Perhaps Fred is Santa Claus!
A blessed Christmas morning to all of you. How faithfully you have encouraged Fred during 2005. Christmas Eve began with the delightful phone call from a dear friend and then the impromptu arrival of visitors. What joy! Interestingly enough they didn't know each other, but they all stopped to thank Fred for his wisdom and friendship. Now new networks have begun and Fred's beat goes on.
Specific prayer request:
Fred is experiencing great insomnia. Please continue to pray that he can both "lie down and sleep" as Psalm 4 puts it.
Thank you for being warriors before the Lord. On the news yesterday a clip repeated the capture of an escaped felon. They commanded him to " get on your knees." It struck me that in that position he could not escape. Ironically, for the Christian that is the ONLY position in which there is true freedom. Thank you for being "People of the Knees" on behalf of Fred and breakfastwithfred.com.
Joyous day to you as we remember that our Savior took on flesh in the process of reconciling us to God. Laus Deo!
