" I need healing. Good Physician, here is scope for thee, come and manifest thy power;...Work it in me now that I may never doubt thee as the truthful, mighty, faithful God. That I can bring my heart to thee full of love, gratitude, hope and joy." These lines from Valley of Vision started Fred's day.
Today he has a skin lesion excised and another lump biopsed. He has decided that all of this "remodeling" will make him the healthiest corpse around when he dies!
These last few days have been trying for him, but his anchor still holds. His self-discipline gives him buoyancy and flexibility to roll with the waves. Were he rigid the deep waters would break his craft apart, but he keeps on rocking back and forth.
Prayer requests:
1) successful work today by Dr. Eichhorn in removing this lesion from his chest. The proximity to the dialysis line is concerning.
2) thanksgiving for prayer support, words of encouragement and acts of kindness
3) praise that the new dialysis line has held for two sessions
Two friends sang In The Garden yesterday. Afterwards one of them spent time with Fred marveling at the fact that we can actually "walk with Him and talk with Him." We serve a person Savior who "gets it" as Steve Brown so brilliantly says. Praise be to our God and Father.
