Christianity Today International issued the Fred Smith Leadership Award to Jack Modesett, Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This award honors "the many business and professional leaders who have contributed so largely, and to encourage those in the future who will contribute with 'so great a cloud of witnesses.'"
Fred Smith, Sr., ove a lifetime of business and ministry leadership, exemplified unusual sagacity, courage, passion, and integrity. In light of Christianity Tody International's blend of business and ministry, and in light of Fred's enormous mentoring contribution to hundreds of leaders, the Fred Smith Leadership Award is given to a business leader who has clearly demonstrated an outstanding blend of such qualities. Jack Modesett, Jr. is a long-time friend of Fred Smith, Sr., and the former chair of Christianity Today International's Executive Committe. He is a real estate developer and investor. Jack is the first recipient of this award.
