"O how sweet to trust in Jesus, Just to trust His cleansing blood. Just in simple faith to plunge me 'Neath the healing, cleansing flood."
Each day Fred and daughter, Brenda, read for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. One of the 5 books is Robert J. Morgan's hymn history volume. Yesterday's hymn was 'Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus.
Having dialyzed three times and had fluid pulled off once, the above lines spoke loudly to both of them. No one understands the critical nature of the cleansing blood process like a dialysis patient. And, Fred's situation amplified the meaning of the lines, both as a believer in Jesus and in its practical application.
The doctors are attempting to wean him off the Vasopressin which artificially supports his blood pressure. They want to see if his body can support dialysis on its own. SO, you know your prayer assignment, don't you?
A faithful BWF community member sent the following words, "We are watching God work." The comfort, encouragement, and simple truth of that statement brings home the reality of knowing we have a God at work ---- always.
His vitals are stable, but he is extremely exhausted.
The fluid removal has left him voiceless. I guess that makes him a 'hoarse whisperer.'
Your prayers and caring expressions are so greatly appreciated. We are seeing God's perfect work being done in the body, mind, and spirit of a precious man of faith.
