Fred Smith is in the hospital with a staph infection in his hip. He has been heavily medicated and has undergone two dialysis treatments to keep the fluid level in range. He woke up this morning experiencing less pain than before. He has been alert and able to talk with the medical staff. I mentioned that lots of people are praying and he replied, "that is why I am still here." He is most thankful, as is the entire Smith family. He is having a catheter inserted into the hip to drain accumulating fluid. Also, an infectious disease specialist will be seeing him today. He is amazingly strong and works to bless all around him, even when he is in tremendous pain. Thanks for praying. You can check in for updates.
