Dear Fred

In your one liners under faith you write: God doesn't forgive sins in process. Where is this proved in the Bible?

Fred's Response

I would ask you a question, “How can you repent of something you have not stopped doing?” The scriptures insist on repenting and turning. Until you are willing to turn you are not willing to repent. The very fact that you continue means you are rationalizing your reason for not stopping. An old country joke tells of the man who made his living stealing watermelons. He told the priest that he had stole half of them already and wanted to confess to the next half he was going after that night. He was asking for forgiveness for a sin in process which seems to me to be an impossibility.
