How would you suggest determining God's will about leaving or staying at a church?

There is a difference in how you make this decision based on whether you are a member or on staff. The impact on the church will be different. What is the basis of your difficulty? Is it theological or lack of psychological comfort? By that I mean, enjoyment of the fellowship. For example, one friend left his church because he resented the dictatorial style of the pastor. The pastor or staff member has a greater responsibility in making the decision to stay or leave. If the pastor stays he has to feel that the purpose of the church continues to be accomplished. As to understanding God's guidance I think this is an individual matter and I am not sure that I can offer you the specific help that you are seeking. I personally lean a great deal on whether I have honestly asked for His will and feel peace about the decision. Bless.
