Dear Fred
I would like to find out if God loves us less in the event that we fail to stop repeating a sinful act?
Fred's Response
The bible teaches us that God’s love is unconditional love. He loves you when you are bad as much as when you are good. You cannot earn his love. His has given his love. I think continual sin will interrupt the relationship or realization of his love. But his love is divine and not given. It does not have to be earned. If He loved us enough to die for us while we were sinners He still loves as while we are sinners. Think seriously about whether God will forgive a continuing sin? Repentance means turning away and asking His help to be free of the sin even if it is an obsession.
