How do you balance 'Waiting on the Lord' and pursuing your goals?

I would like to believe that my goal is the Lord’s and He will guide me in accomplishing His will. True humility is admitting our accomplishments come through us and not from us. We must be careful to listen for any instructions to slow down or stop that the Holy Spirit gives us. This is probably the test of whether it is our goal or God’s.
