Dear Fred

Hello Fred, I am a new viewer of your site . I really enjoy the wisdom you share. I am a christian man and right now I am struggling with my new job. I miss my old job and I somehow feel my last job was what I was meant to do. I had to move on due to conflicts with my boss. I want to have a passion for what I do now but I dont . With the stress that I have is taking a toll on my family because Im not happy right now . I have thought about getting back into my old profession but I feel obligated to my new boss , she is a great person and has treated me very well I am still trying to figure out Gods plan for me as we all are . Any guideance would be greatly appreciated.....Thanks for listening.......

Your loyalty to your new boss should not cause you trouble with your family and yourself. In this case you should have more loyalty to yourself than to others. Certainly your profession is broad enough so that there are more than two companies for which you could work. You might consider broadening your skills and perhaps working in a different area of your profession. Be sure that any new job has the attractive features of the old job that stirred your passions. If the old one was what you were meant to do you simply have to find a new one that is similar with a different boss. Have you taken time to outline on paper what made you feel that you were "meant" to be at the other job? A good exercise would be to sit down and actually write out what your ideal job would be. Thanks for your question and please ask again.
