Dear Fred
Mr. Smith, What are your views on embryonic stem cell research? Is it a sin to destroy the pontential for one life in order to give to another? If these cells come from human embryos less than one week old, is a life still being destoyed, or are we simply taking away the possibility for a new life?
Fred's Response
One life should not be destroyed to help another. I take the position that as soon as the egg is fertilized and starts to develop it is a life. On the other hand, if the cells can be taken from the umbilical cord or even still births, I can see the validity of it.
