"I want to give them something real - something meaningful that will make a difference." Fred spent hours of productive thought forming an outline for 8 minutes of video. Someone told him Saturday that they heard the rule of preparation for speaking was 5 hours for every 1 hour. Fred's rule is closer to 1 hour for every 1 minute. The condensed nature of this video catapulted prep time into much higher multiples. The topic? Encouragement! Fred is flat on his back in a bed 24/7 and he wanted to discuss encouragement. Puts things into perspective.
Mary Alice is peaceful and at times extremely alert. When cake was served for her birthday great grandson Andrew came to play with her. They blew kisses, tossed imaginary balls between them and hugged. She laughed, ate some cake and was very much alive. Bonds of love transcend failing bodies.
Specific prayer requests:
1) Preparation, both physical and spiritual, for the November 6th Roaring Lambs Banquet. Please pray that the name of Jesus Christ will be lifted up and magnified.
2) Wisdom for the family as Mary Alice continues to decline
3) May the spirit of God dwell in the home and influence all who enter
4) Appreciation and thanksgiving for faithful volunteers who make transportation possible
Ofie, stalwart captain of TEAM FRED, will be having some eye surgery on Friday. We would all covet your prayer support for her. She told "Mr. Fred" one day while attempting a very large task alone, "With God I can get almost anything done." It certainly appears to be true.
The BWF Community blesses our hearts. The emails from literally around the world give strength and encouragement. Thanks for showing God's love to Fred and Mary Alice. In all that is said and done today, May Jesus Christ Be Praised!
