HEALTH UPDATE ON FRED (Oct.29)

Stephen Crane wrote of "the red badge of courage."  Let's turn the tables for just a moment and award "the Fred badge of courage."  As you know, daily Fred and Mary Alice hear "we are praying for you."  Good buddy, Steve Brown, will often call and say, "you are on my daily list --- and sometimes I even pray for you more!"

Fred would like to thank you all, but also acknowledge BWF community members who also are every bit as courageous.  Thank you for praying as Charlotte McNally undergoes chemotherapy treatments for cancer; praise Jesus for successful surgery for Charlie "Tremendous" Jones; thanksgiving for the protection of Chris Miller and her family during the recent hurricanes in Florida; continuing gratitude for the sustaining grace that Seth and Hazel Macon experience; petitions for protection of Bob Deffinbaugh as he travels in Asia teaching pastors and equipping the saints;prayer for Dan Williams as he prepares to speak God's truth to thousands of California public school students;blessings for Jack Dodge as he takes his faith to work. These men and women represent all of you who courageously go into battle each day.  You win "The Fred Badge of Courage" on this side, but also are laying up treasures on the other side that will be joyfully presented to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Lord said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."  Fred's message is "Do not be defeated by a beaten foe.  Get your facts before taking action and know that the victory is the Lord's."

Let's pray specifically today for each other... for the thousands of BWF community members who are webbed together.  "Be bold and of good courage!"  He has overcome the world.  Thank you for your encouragement and your strength.
